Sex
The tryptamine (mushrooms, DMT, ayahuasca) experience has a definite sensual -if not outright erotic- quality that offers itself to those open to it. I feel it is important to have had at least one full and satisfying sexual relationship with another human being before embarking on these tryps. Uptightness and moral hangups regarding sex in all its forms must go out the window.
To establish a good connection with the spirit, or living energy, of these herbs it is often necessary to open up and allow it to fully enter . I believe fear of contact is only a natural reaction, and sometimes perhaps a result of the anti-sex conditioning many of us have been subjected to. A pagan attitude is a lot more productive in my experience !
There is really nothing "wrong"or "profane" with experiencing total pleasure , with being sensual . . .This is not for the ascetics and body-deniers, but for those who are comfortable with their body and sexuality , and open to giving and receiving pleasure...
Ayahuasca can help us to exhaust the lust for other human bodies, re-discover our own body, and to become more able to relate to the opposite sex in a more wholistic , meaningful and fulfilling way , not merely playing out strategies to get into bed .... Taking tryptamines with your loved one , you may discover the joy of simply being with each other , touching and holding, in full communion, without any need to strive for short-lived orgasms and exhaustion... Tantra is facilitated with low to moderate doses of these potions.
I have found simple Tantric yoga exercises very helpful in working with these energies. The two lower chakras , at the base of the spine and at the genitals are worked with and energised by Tantra , and this is very important for most of us , as they are related to issues of death, survival, security and sex which , its safe to say, are major issues ....Most of us have blocks in these deep , taboo areas, hence a lot of the malfunctioning that is evident in "civilised" societies....
Here are two exercises i 've found very effective, from Richard Alan Miller's "The Magical and Ritual Use of Herbs" , ISBN 0-89281-401-2 (reproduced without permission) : ( I do not recommend doing any tantric exercises while on psychedelics ! )
"Muladhara Bandha : (To control ejaculation and orgasm)
This exercise is a pelvic contraction lock that begins at the anal muscles and spreads forward to the genitals. The correct feeling of the anal lock is like the sensation you feel when you retain an enema or hold back the passage of stool from the bowel. The method:1. Sit erect in a comfortable position, hands palm-up on thighs.
2.Focus attention on anal region. Begin with an awareness of the chair exerting pressure up against your behind. Pinpoint consciousness to anus.
3.Inhale one-half lungful of air, swallow, and hold breath.
4.Slowly contract the anus while holding breath.Continue to hold breath.
5.Women should spread the pelvic area forward from the anus until a distinct twitch is felt in the vaginal lips.
Men should spread the pelvic area forward from the anus until a distinct pull is felt on the testicles.6.Now release pelvic contraction totally. Inhale and then exhale fully.
7.Repeat ten times when first practising this exercise. Gradually increase to fifty repetitions per exercise period.
Vajroli Mudra : (To increase erectile potency and clitoral sensitivity)
This exercise involves the urethral sphincter closure, with which you cut off the flow of urine in midstream while voiding. As a preliminary step to this exercise, drink several pints of water or beer (!) on an empty stomach. In one hour empty the bladder. As you do , practice cutting off and restraining the urine flow at least a dozen times while the bladder drains. The method:1. Sit erect in a comfortable position, hands palm-up on thighs.
2. Focus attention on urethral sphincter. This is below the clitoris for women and at the base of the penis for men.
3. Inhale one-half lungful of air, swallow, and hold breath.
4.Contract the urethral orifice exactly as if cutting off the flow of urine. At the same time, pull up on the lower abdomen, as if attempting to suck your genitals into the pelvis. Relax concentration and repeat as many times as possible while holding your breath. Allow sexual excitement to occur.
5. Cease contractions , relax abdomen , inhale and then exhale fully.
A woman may check to see whether she is perfroming the exercise correctly by inserting one or two fingers into the vagina during the exercise. If performed correctly , contractions should cause the vagina to close on the fingers.
A man may perform the exercise naked in front of a mirror and watch to see whether the head of the penis twiches or elevates slightly with each contraction. "Muladhara Bandha should be followed by Vajroli Mudra , ideally every day, gradually increasing the amount of repetitions , up to sixty. The benefits of these exercises are multiple , and may release deep seated tensions and transform your experience ...
