I work in the Chaos 'n' Novelty (CnN) branch of the F.C.  My current assignment includes , but does not solely consist of, the spreading of disinformation on the internet, and within shamanic/entheogenics forums in particular. We monitor current trends in thinking about "the experience" and provide appropriate stimuli so as to spread host-adaptive meme viruses that will in due time, and sooner rather than later, provoke localised collapses of petrified or diseased Order , allowing Glorious Chaos to reign once more. The actual content of the disinformation campaign is generally irrelevant, but designed to attract the attention of as many recipients as possible, and hence contains good strong doses of both wizdom and utter inanity; a blurring of which is witch guarantees that the customers will keep coming back for more. Of course the only way we can really get to them is if they do actually take their "medicine" , and this particular uncertainty is the major headache my workteam has to deal with when we get stressed and forget that Everything Is Going According To Plan.

(Technical note : Host-Adaptive Meme Viruses (HAMV's) primarily operate by distraction of the host's defense systems. Once the latter has sprang into action -and distraction- the HAMV quickly learns how to trick the host into letting it in. By a prolonged measurement of patterns in the reactions to many different distractive stimuli statistically significantly accurate models of the current state of internal Order of the host can be constructed and the suitabilty of the host as a carrier can be very accurately predicted. This is because the HAMV , each unit, has access to the infinite processing power and memory capacity of another one i'm not telling you about.
Furthermore, the new HAMV does not abandon an unsuitable host but constantly reforms and adapts itself while stimulating the host's Order regeneration systems until the time when the host has a statistically significant and good chance of surviving the collapse(s). )
